Enjoy a home away from home complete with support designed just for you.
Regardless of how long your stay, we match you with support staff and other like-minded individuals to create a living space that truly feels like home for you.
What is Short Term Accommodation?
Under the NDIS, Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from your usual home. It covers the cost of your care in another place for up to 14 days at a time.
You might have a short stay with other people, or by yourself. It’s often funded when your usual carers aren’t available, or for you to try new things.
From day supports to respite services, at Essential Disability we pride ourselves on ensuring you get support that fits you perfectly wherever you are.
Your Home Away From Home
Our Short Term Accommodation houses are designed to be a home away from home where you can relax or have the opportunity to learn new skills and participate in the running of a home.
Essential Disability will work with you to be flexible in supporting your needs, including but not limited to day activities and transport options. With a maximum of 2 guests per night, we encourage you as part of the household to determine and plan meals, activities and support.
Looking something more permanent?
Our tailored approach of matching support staff and other like-minded individuals builds a living space that really feels like home, while letting you focus on building capacity to live more independently, to achieve your goals.
